Merit Health Wesley Welcomes New Hospitalist

Merit Health Wesley welcomes Stephen G. Fletcher, D.O. as a new hospitalist, joining the inpatient care team of Kurt Bruckmeier, M.D., Gagan Grewal, M.D., Kosana Simeunovic, M.D., Deepu Thoppil, M.D., and Andrea Braswell, N.P.
The inpatient care team is responsible for the care of hospitalized patients, working with the patient’s primary care physician and any other needed specialists to determine the best methods of care for each patient.
Fletcher attended medical school at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine and holds a Master of Medical Science from Mississippi College and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Mississippi. He completed residency training in internal medicine at University of Mississippi Medical Center.
He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Mississippi State Medical Association. Fletcher is the son of Merit Health Medical Group pulmonologist Gardner Fletcher, M.D.
