Patients and Visitors
Current Visitor Guidelines
Non-COVID inpatients and outpatients may have visitors in the facility at any time. This includes the emergency department, all outpatient departments and all clinics.
Inpatients may have one adult visitor stay with them at night.
Visitation policies for the ICU/CVR, Transitional Care Unit and Senior Behavioral Health Unit may vary. Visitors of these units should check with department staff for updated visitation guidelines prior to arrival.
We will continue to take measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and will ask visitors to follow these guidelines:
- No fever above 100.3.
- No COVID-19 or COVID-19-like symptoms (fever, runny nose, cough, shortness of breath).
- No one waiting the results of a COVID-19 test.
- No contact with a COVID-19 infected person.
- No contact with someone who is awaiting results of a COVID-19 test.
- Use of hand sanitizer upon entry and exit.
- Wearing a mask is OPTIONAL in all locations of the hospital, except our transitional care unit. Masks will continue to be required on our transitional care unit.
At Merit Health Wesley, we understand that coming to the hospital as a patient or as a loved one's support person can be a difficult, often overwhelming experience. Whether you’re preparing for a hospital stay or stopping by to see friends and family, knowing where to go and what to bring will help make your visit less stressful. To make your experience easier, we want to provide you with helpful information you may need to plan your visit, such as what to expect, parking instructions, transportation and more.
