Kurt Bruckmeier, M. D., serves as the program director of the internal medicine residency program and is the chairman of the Graduate Medical Education Leadership Council at Merit Health Wesley. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of the South in Sewanee, TN. He then graduated medical school from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He completed his internal medicine residency at the same institution, and was chief medical resident following the completion of his residency. He holds certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Aravind Raghavan, M.D., is the associate program director of the internal medicine residency program at Merit Health Wesley. Dr. Raghavan attended medical school at Angeles University Foundation School of Medicine in the Philippines and graduated with honors. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Lahey Health in Burlington, Massachusetts, where he received the Award for Excellence in Medical Student Teaching during his final year of residency. Dr. Raghavan is board certified in internal medicine. Prior to serving in his current position, Dr. Raghavan served as a hospitalist at Baystate Medical Center - UMass Chan Medical School in Springfield, Massachusetts. He has 2 years of research background working at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
His interests includes resident education and wellness and he's invested in graduate medical education. Dr. Raghavan also serves as a quality control & case reviewer at Magee General Hospital in Mississippi. He also serves on a number of hospital committees including Peer Review Committee and Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Raghavan currently resides in Hattiesburg along with his wife and children. His wife, Dr. Aboorva Sudhakar, serves as an endocrinologist at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg. Dr. Raghavan currently serves as an adjunct professor at William Carey Medical School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
